About Us
The Dragons FRC 5881 The Dragons are Tech Valley High School’s FIRST robotics team. We compete in the FIRST New York Tech Valley Regional Robotics Competition. Our team builds more than robots. We build well-rounded, independent thinkers who work together. Our team is represented by around 15 students from around the capital region, so it takes incredible dedication and support to participate in this club after school and on weekends. TVHS is a small school with a student body of 140.
Support
Participation in FIRST is not only demanding, invigorating and fun, but financially challenging as well. The Dragons are not funded by FIRST or any school, so we depend on the generous support of corporate sponsors, local businesses and private contributions. Our annual fund raising goal is $20,000. Financial Our team is committed to providing a high-quality experience for our students, and never charging dues or fees to participate. We rely on the generosity of sponsors to help us cover the costs of registration fees, travel expenses, and materials.
